The strength I gained surprised me! 

"My goals were to become generally stronger while also working on my leg stability so that I could return to running. I was able to complete 5Ks and 5 miles races in 2023 and recently completed a trail half marathon successfully with another trail half, 25K, and 50K planned for 2024.

I noticed my strength increased within the first several weeks. By the time several months had passed, I was more confident in my ability to lift heavier than I ever expected.

The strength I gained surprised me. Part of it is trusting the process and staying consistent. The other part is knowing when to increase weight and challenge certain comfort levels which I always found hard to do on my own. While having Emily as my coach, I was able to push myself and feel safe with heavier than expected weight. I knew that if she felt confident in me then I could believe in me, too, which I think a good coach is able to access and determine in their clients."
